Donna Lee Studio of Dance has been part of our community for nearly five decades, beginning with our founder, Donna Lee Roach in 1979,and the belief that excellent dance education starts with truly understanding and caring for the child in front of you.

When “Miss Donna” retired in 2006, longtime Donna Lee dancers and teachers Alicia Norwood and Vicky Gonzalez stepped into leadership, carrying that tradition forward while continuing to grow and evolve the studio for each new generation.

Today, most of the teachers welcoming your child into class grew up in these very studios. Our faculty brings together professional dance experience—they’ve performed on some of the biggest stages in the world with ballet companies, contemporary companies, Walt Disney World, cruise lines,and more. They have degrees in fields including childhood education and psychology, along with continued training and certifications in dance education, technique, and safe practices. They don’t simply learn from respected educators-they are respected educators themselves, often sharing their own knowledge and best practices at seminars with dance teachers across the country.

We believe the best teachers never stop learning. So while we are proud to be leaders in dance education, we remain students of our craft. We are continually learning, evolving, and asking how we can better serve the children entrusted to us. 

Because ultimately, all of that experience, education, and tradition is for them.

It’s for the 18-month-old discovering music and movement beside a parent in Dance With Me. The preschooler gaining independence in Creative Movement or Petite Dance. The young dancer building skills and confidence in Kinder and Primary Classes. The child who simply loves coming to dance each week. And the dancer who discovers they want more and progresses through Pre-Company and our Company levels.

There is no single way to be a dancer at Donna Lee. Our programs are designed to meet children where they are and give them somewhere to grow—from their very first class to advanced training and beyond.

Whatever path your child chooses, our goal remains the same: for them to feel seen, challenged, accomplished, and proud of the dancer—and person—they are becoming.
